Creating your own toolkit
What’s this about?
Toolkit for Turbulence is divided into six parts and is chock full of tools, models and canvases to help you overcome leadership and team challenges. Stories from the field show you how to design and use tools for yourself, with your team and in the wider enterprise or ecosystem. You can follow the instructions or modify them to suit your preferences or circumstances. Here are some pointers to guide you in making those choices.
Why is it important?
The book describes approaches that are proven to be effective across a wide variety of settings where uncertainty and complexity are rampant. However, we know that leaders are time poor and every context is unique, so it’s important for you to choose the best, most efficient way to get full value from the tools, models and canvases.
How does it work?
In the book we recommend three implementation options based on ways that people currently use Toolkit for Turbulence as a leadership resource.
It's up to you to choose the best way to build and maintain your leadership toolkit. We are confident that as you read the stories, test the tools and see the results you’ll be able to build your own toolkit for turbulence. As highlighted in the book, the only choice you can’t make is to do nothing; your effectiveness as a leader will depend on it.
